Music and movies sounded pretty good, both through the speakers and headphones and the system sounds, such as the “Empty Recycle Bin” sound, as well as the “clicks” when navigating through File Explorer, were loud enough to hear. Using different settings and applications, either built-in or installed, I had set the volume on the Vaio to my liking. For the most part, I’ve been pretty successful so far…but then I hit a snag. The HP Pavilion came with Windows 10, so I’ve been getting used to that and sometimes using the Win10 equivalent of what I had before. I found the HP Pavilion 17-ar050wm for a good price it certainly is an upgrade from the smaller Vaio, and I like it a lot already…! And I’ve been trying to set everything to what I was used to on the old laptop (programs, settings, etc.). I certainly hope someone here can help me but from what I have been able to find out from searching online, I may be out of luck.Īnyway, here’s the situation: When my 11-year-old Sony Vaio finally died for good, after 2 new hard drives (including an upgrade from Windows Vista to Win7), 3 new keyboards, and a replaced screen along the way, I finally decided to get a new laptop.
